DEACON MINISTRY
The Deacons of the church assist the pastor in the care, spiritual well-being
and growth of the Church, including sharing in the leadership of ordinances
and worship services. Deacons also assist the pastor with the ministries
of Bible study, visitation of Church members, work with new members, and
other church outreach activities.
TRUSTEES
Trustees serve as the legal representatives of the Church and is responsible
for all financial and upkeep matters of the church.
DEACONESS
Deaconesses render Christian service by assisting the Pastor and congregation,
and in ministering to the women and children of the church. They assist
in preparing the communion elements, dressing female candidates for baptism,
visiting the sick (particularly the women), counseling and serving as
role models for the young ladies of the church and the community.
MISSIONARY SOCIETY
This ministry is charged with the lead responsibility of taking the ministry
of the church beyond the church walls. This society has two levels: junior
and senior.
USHER BOARDS
This service ministry includes both the Junior and Senior Ushers. The
usher is a personal representative of Jesus Christ who meets people on
a person-to-person basis when they first arrive at church. An usher is
also one who helps members and visitors feel comfortable; directs those
who have come to worship; and serves with spiritual dignity during services.
SERVICE FOR CHRIST
This ministry offers service to Christ through projects and activities
that enhance fellowship and provides for unmet needs for the church, its
members and community.
NURSES AID UNIT
The Nurses Unit is a dedicated group who serve the White Rock Baptist
Church family and visitors during services and at other times. All members
are trained in first aid and CPR.
CULINARY COMMITTEE MINISTRY
The culinary ministry is a volunteer group that prepares meals for special
occasions. Just as Jesus fed 5,000 men plus women and children, it is
this ministry’s mission to feed the multitude at church anniversaries,
funerals, and special services.
TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY
The transportation ministry utilizes a 15 passenger marked church van
to transport members and guests to and from church services and other
scheduled events upon request.
